Course Goals: Math 485, Math Seminar

Students will demonstrate:

the ability to learn significant mathematics independently and present their findings effectively in oral and written form using formal definitions, appropriate mathematical technology and notation.
a broad knowledge of the history, philosophy, and culture of mathematics.
