High school coursework may fulfill the requirement, but credit is not given unless the student wishes to attempt retroactive credit; see college catalog for policies. Students for whom English is a second language satisfy the requirement by successful completion of the writing sequence.
II. FOUNDATIONS OF HUMAN LEARNING

global cultural geography may be approved to fulfill both requirements when
those courses include study of both Western and non-Western culture and history.
